The Materials Management Department (AUBMC) has an opening for the position of Inventory Clerk in grade 6. Basic Functions

For Internals Only

Responsible for timely and accurate stock issuance, picking, labeling and delivering of needed supplies. Work with storekeepers to maintain accurate inventory levels, track stock movements, and assist with various inventory control activities.
Support the mission and vision of the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC) and that of the department.

 

Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum Education: BACC II
  • Minimum Experience: 1 year of relevant work experience in a similar setting is preferable.
  • Minimum Languages: Arabic and English (EET>= 450)
  • Computer Proficiency: Basic Knowledge in Microsoft Office Operations
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of Inventory Management System tools. Knowledge of storage methods, procedures, and terminology.

Job Summary

Essential Functions / Task Groups

     Tasks:

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels of supplies and instrument sets in needed areas.
  • Perform daily cycle counts and submit daily replenishment orders for related clinical inventories.
  • Inspect and count incoming supplies and resolve any discrepancies prior to put away.
  • Maintain inventory documentation, such serial numbers, and expiration dates, stock movements (issuance, receiving, and returns), and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Process incoming orders and prepare supplies/sets when needed, ensuring accuracy in allocation, picking, and packing.
  • Notify management when needed items are near or out of stock.
  • Maintain supply and storage rooms in a safe, clean and orderly condition.
  • Perform other duties as requested by direct supervisor.

Computer Proficiency: Basic Knowledge in Microsoft Office Operations

 

Impact of Actions / Decisions

Inaccuracy in inspection of delivered supplies as per replenishment orders may result in significant discrepancy in the store.
Improper inspection of stock levels may result in under or overstock at the clinical area and may jeopardize patient care.
