Job Summary
Responsible for performing a variety of Human Resources (HR) personnel and
employee relation duties. Process all payroll and non-payroll transactions and
assist in reconciliation of information between the different HR
systems.
Assist the Personnel and Employee Relations Manager in addressing
employee relations as well as in employee grievances and appeals.
Support the
mission and vision of the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC)
and that of the Department.
Essential Functions / Task Groups
- Prepare on a daily basis Payroll Change Notices (PCN) for all payroll
related activities and close monthly payroll after all PCNs have been signed
and approved on the system.
- Update the different HR Systems with all requested fields on a daily basis
and ensure information is maintained, verified and accurate at all times.
- Apply vetting processes on all types of employees, current and new, to
ensure the authenticity of records.
- Carry out all issues related to medical evaluations and ensure proper
follow-up depending on the nature of the recommendation. Process all sick
leave issues and prepare deduction transactions as per policy.
- Prepare agreements, contracts and contract terminations as well as
initiate the clearance process.
- Assist with employee issues such as notice period service, pay in lieu of
notice, information regarding end of service indemnity, legal issues related
to employees, etc...
- Assist the Personnel and Employee Relations Manager with disciplinary
grievances and appeals.
- Investigate personnel problems and handle complaints including legal
issues, in coordination the manager.
- Carry out the disciplinary action process by preparing official/internal
warnings and meeting with employees.
- Execute employee exit interview process; analyze feedback from employee
exit interviews, determine trends and recommend appropriate actions.
- Act as a point of contact for staff regarding HR matters related to
personnel and employee relations.
- Conduct workload analyses on requested positions and /or departments,
perform observations and provide appropriate recommendations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the direct
supervisor.
