The Materials Management Department (AUBMC) has an opening for the position of Warehouse Assistant in grade 4 .

Basic Functions
For Internals Only 
Perform various tasks within the warehouse environment, including labeling, distribution of received supplies, picking and delivering orders. Ensure inventory items are stacked safely and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area. Support the mission and vision of the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC) and that of the department.
Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum Education: Completion of Brevet.
  • Minimum Education: Completion of Brevet.
  • Minimum Experience: 0-1 year of experience (on the job training)
  • Knowledge of Arabic and Basic English
  • Basic Knowledge in Microsoft Office Applications. Basic Knowledge of the Stock Inventory System.

Job Summary

Essential Functions / Task Groups

Tasks: 

  • Label inventory items upon receiving them as per the storekeeper instructions, and stack them according to their size, shape, code, expiry dates, and lot numbers.
  • Stock items in a safe manner in accordance with AUBMC rules and Regulations
  • Pick items for delivery based on the nearest expiry dates and track lot numbers upon issuance.
  • Reconcile, pack the items received against their requisitions, and ensure their delivery in a safe manner.
  • Inspect and receive the delivered supplies when needed, and communicate findings effectively to higher management.
  • Assist in annual physical inventory performed by the department and Audit Office.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the stores and inventory, and remove daily discarded wrappings at the end of every shift.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Knowledge of warehouse methods, procedures, and terminology.

Education:

Languages (English):

Impact of Actions / Decisions
Inaccuracy in inspection of delivered supplies as per purchase orders may result in significant discrepancy in the store.
Inaccuracy in picking items for issuance may result in significant discrepancy in the store.
Inefficient picking style may result in significant delays and waste of time.
Improper picking may result in wrong lot tracking of on hand inventory.
Negligence in store organization and cleanliness may cause damage to the inventory.
Job Structure
Provide the required work according to pre-defined procedures.

Reporting to: 1st Level – Storekeeper./ Housekeeping Manager
Reporting to: 2nd Level – Warehouse Manager/Support Services Director
