The Medical Center Human Resources has an opening for the position of Recruitment Specialist in grade 11. Basic Functions
Coordinate and handle various activities at the Human Resources Department related to the Talent Management function including Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Performance Management, Workforce Planning as well as Department initiatives.
Support the mission and vision of the American University of Beirut Medical Center and that of the Department.
Minimum Requirements
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of human behavior and performance, individual differences in ability, personality, and interests, learning and motivation. General knowledge of a variety of human resources activities. Knowledge of public administration principles and practices. Knowledge of human resources programs, principles and practices. General Knowledge of employment and labor laws, regulations, and requirements.
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field. HR Certification is a plus.
  • Minimum Experience: 3-6 years of Human Resources experience
  • Minimum Languages: Arabic and English (IET >/=500)
  • Computer Skills: Good familiarity with commonly used word processing, spreadsheet, PowerPoint, and database software packages. Familiarity with Talent Acquisition and Management solutions.

Job Summary

Essential Functions / Task Groups
  • Handle the recruitment and selection process of clinical and non-clinical positions at the Medical Center by conducting competency based interviews.
  • Conduct assessments of training needs as well as coordinate and deliver courses using a defined schedule, adhering to the training calendar and in line with the institution's guidelines.
  • Prepare and follow up on the development plans for all employees based on the performance appraisal analysis.
  • Maintain updated performance plans for all employees as well as activate Probationary, Yearly and Annual Performance Appraisals and handle the follow up and analysis.
  • Compile new job descriptions in line with the Department Head and ensure job descriptions are always up to date.
  • Conduct workload analyses on requested positions and/or departments and submit appropriate recommendations.
  • Assign a buddy to all new non-nursing employees as well as ensure that all elements of the onboarding process are met.
  • Analyze the onboarding surveys filled by the employees and conduct meetings when necessary.
  • Build and maintain strong and effective relationship with all other related units to achieve the Department's goals/ objectives.
  • Handle other projects as assigned by the HR Director and ensure proper follow up for timely implementation.
