Job Summary
Conduct one-to-one behavior therapy with
children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders, behavioral problems or other
related developmental disorders. Use the principles of behavior analysis to help
patients improve across various areas, such as language, social skills, play,
academic skills, self-help and functional life skills, while helping to reduce
interfering and undesirable behaviors and new skills more effectively. Complete
daily data collection in a timely and consistent manner.

Essential Functions / Task Groups
ABA Therapy Duties:
- Conduct one-to-one sessions with patients, in their homes or schools,
providing applied behavior analysis services under the supervision of the ABA
Specialist.
- Follow behavior plan and individualized treatment plan as designed by the
ABA Specialist in order to teach patients to acquire their targeted skills.
- Complete daily collection in a detailed, timely, accurate and consistent
manner.
- Attend and participate in monthly team meetings for each patient with the
family and ABA Specialist.
- Provide input on any novel behaviors that may arise and hinder the
implementation of treatment programs.
- Function as an active team member, communicating in a professional manner
and working with other therapists, school professionals and the family to
implement the patient's treatment plan.
- Participate in staff training programs.
- Assist in providing ideas to parents for creating instructional materials.
- Maintain confidentiality about clients and their
families.

Education:
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or Special
Education or any related field.
Experience:
Minimum
Experience: 3 years' of experience working with children with Autism Spectrum
Disorders using ABA principles.
Preferred Experience: Home-based or
school-based behavioral therapy.
Languages:
Minimum
Languages: Arabic and English (IET >/= 500).
Preferred Languages: French
is an asset.
Computer Skills:
Proficient in the use
of Microsoft Applications.
