The Materials Management Department (AUBMC) has an opening for the position of Inventory Technician in grade 6 starting at a salary of LBP 904,677.- per month. Basic Functions
Responsible for performing inventory duties in assigned areas, including but not limited to performing cycle count of supplies, labeling, organizing, stacking, as well as transferring them from main warehouse to different locations. Periodically examine stored supplies for damage and expiry dates and report findings to concerned unit / store representative and Materials Management Department (MMD) Administration.
Support the mission and vision of the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC) and that of the Materials Management Department.
Minimum Requirements
  • BACC II
  • 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • Strong command of Arabic and English (EET >/= 450).
  • Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Work Schedule: Shift Basis and/or On Call

Essential Functions / Task Groups

Functional / Technical Duties:

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels in assigned clinical areas, and determine with unit / store representative the Min Max quantities needed on the shelf.
  • Perform daily cycle count for supplies due for replineshment, submit daily replenishment orders, and report out of stock items to concerned unit manager and concerned storekeeper.
  • Reconcile the items prepared against their requistions and pack them with their requisitions in a safe manner prior to delivery to ensure correctness of items delivered.
  • Inspect and count unused returned supplies in the presence of concerned end-user for item / package integrity and validity of expiry dates.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the assigned work location at all times, as well as stock items in a safe manner according to size, shape, code, expiry date, and lot numbers.
  • Communicate inspection findings and other findings effectively to the unit/store representative and MMD Administration.
  • Conduct on a weekly basis inventory cycle count for labeled supplies using the handheld service, as well as periodically examine stored supplies for damage and expiry dates and report findings to concerned unit / store representative and MMD Administration.
  • Transfer supplies from main warehouse to assigned clinical area and return them from assigned area to main warehouse.

Impact of Actions / Decisions
Inaccuracy in inspection of delivered supplies as per replenishment orders may result in significant discrepancy in the store.
Improper inspection of stock levels may result in under or overstock at the clinical area and may jeopardize patient care.
