The Materials Management Department (AUBMC) has an opening for the position of Inventory Technician in grade 6 starting at a salary of LBP 904,677.- per month. Basic Functions
Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels in assigned clinical areas. Determine with unit / store representative the Min Max quantities needed on shelf within the clinical areas. Perform daily cycle count of supplies due for replenishment in assigned clinical area and submit daily replenishment orders. Transfer supplies from main warehouse to assigned clinical area. Label locators and issued supplies when needed. Organize and stack received supplies and rearrange supplies locations to optimize picking. Periodically examine stored supplies for damage and expiry dates and report findings to concerned unit / store representative and MMD Administration. Assist with periodic physical inventories of stock.

Minimum Requirements
  • BACC II
  • 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • Strong command of Arabic and English (EET >/= 450).
  • Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Work Schedule: Shift Basis and/or On Call

Essential Functions / Task Groups

Functional / Technical Duties:

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels in assigned clinical areas.
  • Determine with unit / store representative the Min Max quantities needed on the shelf within the clinical areas.
  • Recommend changes in Min Max values.
  • Perform daily cycle count for supplies due for replenishment in assigned clinical area.
  • Submit daily replenishment orders.
  • Reconcile the items prepared against their requisitions and pack them with their requisitions in a safe manner prior to delivery to ensure correctness of items delivered.
  • Inspect and count unused returned supplies in presence of concerned end-user for item / package integrity and validity of expiry date.
  • Inspect and count, when required, empty pouches of used supplies in presence of concerned end-user.
  • Scan labeled supplies using the barcode scanner for receiving, issuance and returns.
  • Conduct, on a weekly basis, inventory cycle count for labeled supplies using the handheld service.
  • Transfer supplies from main warehouse to assigned clinical area and returns from assigned clinical area to main warehouse.
  • Label properly all storage shelves by location.
  • Label supplies when needed.
  • Label locators and issued supplies when needed.
  • Determine appropriate location for items and place them on the shelves accordingly.
  • Stack items according to size, shape, code or any other related criteria.
  • Stack items according to their expiry dates and lot numbers.
  • Rearrange supplies locations to optimize picking.
  • Periodically examine stored supplies for damage and expiry dates and report findings to concerned unit /store representative and MMD Administration; assist with periodic physical inventories of stock.
  • Communicate inspection findings and other findings effectively to the unit / store representative, Storekeeper and MMD Administration.
  • Stock items in a safe manner in accordance with AUBMC Risk and Safety Management Department Rules and Regulations.
  • Adhere to Materials Management Department policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to Supply Chain code of ethics.

Impact of Actions / Decisions
Inaccuracy in inspection of delivered supplies as per replenishment orders may result in significant discrepancy in the store.
Improper inspection of stock levels may result in under or overstock at the clinical area and may jeopardize patient care.
